IF there is one thing I am more than certain of, it's HUMOR will help us
get through some very difficult times.......... PLOT TWIST. !!!
In a reading a guest asked Allison Dubois .....
"I talked to my deceased loved ones, out loud ALL the time,
do they hear me"? This was her response.......
Those in spirit are empaths. So they can feel everything that
we feel, they can also hear our thoughts.
So whenever we're talking to them, you've already processed the thought through your head, so they've already heard it, but also they can feel our pain.
They can also feel our happiness. They are very dialed into us, so if
you have a brother or somebody that you miss that you wanted to
talk to, you just talk to him and you'll hear their voice in your head.
You'll know it's theirs because it doesn't feel like your thought process,
it feels like somebody else and that's how you know it's separate from
your thoughts. It will be something in their tone, like their personality,
their dialect even. My dad does it all the time with me, but anybody
can do it. It's just a matter of silence and you have to listen.
Meditation can be important in hearing the answers. We often ask
them questions or say something, but don't wait for the response to hear
what they have to say. So take some time, put a pad of paper in front
of yourself and a pen. Jot down the impressions you get from them
after you ask them questions or say something to them.
WHAT WILL MATTER
by Michael Josephson
Ready or not, some day it will all come to an end.
There will be no more sunrises, no minutes, hours or days.
All the things you collected, whether treasured or forgotten, will pass to someone else.
Your wealth, fame and temporal power will shrivel to irrelevance.
It will not matter what you owned or what you were owed.
Your grudges, resentments, frustrations and jealousies will finally disappear.
So too, your hopes, ambitions, plans and to-do lists will expire.
The wins and losses that once seemed so important will fade away.
It won’t matter where you came from or what side of the tracks you lived on at the end.
It won’t matter whether you were beautiful or brilliant.
Even your gender and skin color will be irrelevant.
So what will matter? How will the value of your days be measured?
What will matter is not what you bought but what you built,
not what you got but what you gave.
What will matter is not your success but your significance.
What will matter is not what you learned but what you taught.
What will matter is every act of integrity, compassion, courage or sacrifice that enriched,
empowered or encouraged others to emulate your example.
What will matter is not your competence but your character.
What will matter is not how many people you knew,
but how many will feel a lasting loss when you’re gone.
What will matter is not your memories but the memories of those who loved you.
What will matter is how long you will be remembered, by whom and for what.
Living a life that matters doesn’t happen by accident.
It’s not a matter of circumstance but of choice.
Choose to live a life that matters.

52 Years by Kevin Charles Estep
I may be a 20 year old kid who has not experienced all 52 years of this drought, but I can tell you this means everything to a city and state built with the blood sweat and tears of sports fans for these 52 years. Year after year men, women, and kids dream maybe this is the year maybe this is finally our time. Season after season there is always next year, we'll get em next year. Well Cleveland sports fans this is the year enjoy it!! For if this is last one for the next 52 years, cherish it hold on to that feeling when the final buzzer sounded and the Cleveland cavilers were named NBA champions, because die hard fans have come and gone not seeing a championship, HOLD on to this one for them.
Hold on to this feeling and let it drive you to do great things! If a team can come back from a 3-1 deficit at the highest level of competition, YOU too can complete anything you put your mind too!
Kevin Charles Estep - @June 20, 2016
Today is June 23, 2021 and this came up in a Facebook note memory.
I actually had forgotten that I shared it to FB. Love you Kev-Kev and your wisdom.
On August 16, 2020 I read a quote by J.J. Redick, who played for the Pelicans NBA
basketball team. Redick at the time had a 2 year contract worth $26.5 million.
He said........
"I'm in my 6th week of not seeing my children. I've never gone that long without
seeing my kids or without seeing my wife. That can really tug at your soul a little bit."
(quote J.J. Redick NBA player)
I remember on that day reading his words and being sickened. At that time in August of 2020,
millions of people in the USA were without jobs. They were only hanging on due to the unemployment money, or from food give a ways, or from the kindness and generosity of family and friends helping them.
I recall thinking at the time.... his wife and family were FINE. Let alone my sheer disgust for this individual not even stopping to think that in the USA we have an ALL volunteer military that leaves family behind for months and sometimes over a year at a time to do a military duty assignment. POOR J.J. Redick who had not seen his family in 6 weeks.
As a military Mother, I have known family not to see their military kids in 12 months, in 18 months and sometimes in a 2 year times span, LET ALONE the families of our dead.
They will NEVER see a child, a parent, a brother or sister again.
IF I could have spoken to Redick I would have told him...........
"SHUT THE FUCK UP" !!!!!!!!!! "Play your game and shut the fuck up" !!!!!!!!!
So you might wonder why I am posting this in May of 2021. I had written this down on an index card and I am now just getting to sharing on my blog.
THINK before you speak. THINK before you whine and complain.
Perhaps someone has things way worse off then you do. !!!!!!!!!

Martha
--words and music by Michael Stanley
from the Album The Hang in 2012
Martha took the news and put her things away
And said it's time we all go home
Wasn't quite the way she saw that day
Just goes to show you never know
What comes rolling round the corner
Or stealing through the night
Or when it's time to rage against the fading of the light ...
She said I know you only want to take my pain away
But it's ashes to ashes dust to dust
And I want to tell you that I'm not afraid
I'm curious
I'm just curious ...
Martha said she'd thought about it long and hard
And there wasn't all that much she'd left undone
She'd seen the moon rise on a Kenyan night
And from the Great Wall seen the setting sun
And she watched her babies' children have children of their own
And said just how amazing was this life she that she had known ...
She said I know you only want to take my pain away
But it's ashes to ashes dust to dust
And I want to tell you that I'm not afraid
I'm curious
I'm just curious ...
And she stared out of her window
In a reverie of peace
And cherished every second till her moment of release
She said I know you only want to take my pain away
But it's ashes to ashes dust to dust
And I want to tell you that I'm not afraid
I'm curious
I'm just curious ...
I'm just curious ...

Bouquet of Hope - Paper Pumpkin Stampin Up - February 2021
I'm creating this post to show how I created this laminated butterfly die.
I added the butterfly to the card with a very thin strip of double sided tape,
which you can barely see once stuck down. The tape is only down
the body so the wings pull up and have dimension.
Thermal laminating pouch -size 8.5" x 11"
I add a thin line of card stock to area of the pouch that is sealed.
This just keeps the pouch from curling.
Cut out butterfly along with the die
